Jane Thank you for taking the time to assist with researching the Census & Archived Newspapers. The information you have forwarded confirms the marriage and location for Mary Ann McCann & John R. Hogan. The lead in Wisconsin is also very promising and Mary L. McCanna could be our Mary Ann McCann. Her husband listed on her death certificate - her birth locaton as Wisconsin - while the information she provided on the birth certificate of her son was Waterloo, Iowa. The time you have spent helping us is greatly appreciated. My area of interest and research is focused in New England, mostly Massachusetts, Vermont, Maine & New York. I have extensive files on the families of Franklin County & Plymouth, Mass., and Windor, Washington and Orange Counties in Vermont. Over the years I've collected a little over 341,000 names in the database with notes and sources. Root families include: Judd; Treat; Webster, Stewart; Price: Twitchell; Hall; Turner; Shurtleff; Thornton; Flint; Huntington; Martin; Cogswell; Doughty; Prince; Doty; Alden; Silvester; Pickles; Parker; Whitcomb; Stockbridge; Foster; Buck; Stetson; Briggs; Randall; Magoun; Hatch; Holmes; Perry; Miner; James; Barrell; Cooke; Ring; Brewster; Otis; Cushing; Clapp; Tilden; Thaxter; Adams; White; Barker; Barber; Tolman; Burr; Ellis; Elmer; Josselyn; McCall, etc. Many of these are descendants of the Pilgrim families, which arrived on the Mayflower. If readers of this list have ties to New England - I would be willing to search the database for possible links to help extend or add information for their areas of research. Thank You again for your assistance. When we can extend the family genealogy for Mary Ann McCann, I will post our finding to the list for future generations of researcher. Readers may also find my research at the LDS FamilySerach Site. Regards, Paul W. Allred pwallred@frontier.com
