I am descended from Michael McCann who came over probably between 1847 and 1850. I know for sure he was here in 1850 as his marriage record is dated June of that year. He settled in Newark. I have not been able to trace any siblings (though I'm sure there were some). I do know his father was a Bartholomew McCann, but I don't believe he came over. I am sure Michael had other family here at some point - trying to track them down is not easy! lol There were quite a few McCanns who settled in Newark so I don't know if or how they're related.
