His name was Daniel; he was over 45 (born before 1765) but he did have a male age 10-15 living in his household. Perhaps your Unknown was b. 1795. In 1820 there was a Daniel McCann over 45 in Christiana Hundred, New Castle, DE. An Ephraim McCann age 21 enlisted in the Army in 1818; he was recorded as born in PA; he enlisted in Easton, PA. (That is certainly not a common given name for a McCann. Just a coincidence or was this the father of Wm, Ephraim, Thomas & Rebecca?) Regards, Jane
