The reason I am searching for McCanns is my AUNT Loney Eldora McCANN MARRIED MY UNCLE Alvin Swanson in the early 40's,She had to give away a son who was born in San Antonio on feb.2,1936,his name was William Preston Botkins. He was given up for adoption in seattle Washington in the medina childrens home.somebody in Tacoma,Washington adopted him.His mother has since passed away 5 years ago and I am still trying to find her son.she had asked me to find him.found nothing.so was hoping someone could be related to her on the McCANN line.She still had children left in SAN ANTONIO that her mother raised.2 of her 4 children born to my uncle and her still servive.One has a bad heart and the other is in poor health and in a wheel chair.so I would love to find something of him.could be hopefully still alive.thank you for any help. Where was she living? Do you know where she was born? Were the children who were left in San Antonio named McCann? There's a Texas Birth Index online, but it does not contain a William Preston Botkins. Was that his name after he was adopted? Regards, Jane
Yes,her name was swanson when she died and lived in Hoquiam Washington.san Antonio,texas I thought.oh boy.dont know if they were mccanns or not.maybe botkins as aunt loneys maiden name was mccann.
