John McCann was born circa 1831. He moved to Canada (Toronto) prior to 1891 (year he was noted in census at age 60). John married Mary Cordingly b. circa 1837, and they had nine children, one of which was my Great Grandfather Thomas. Other children: William b. 1854; John b. 1855; James b. 1858; Mary Ann b. 1860; Joseph b. 1863; Sarah Jane b. 1866; Elizabeth b. 1868; and Esther b. 1871. Strong Irish Catholic family.
