All of my McCann's are from the areas of Elmira, Erwin, Hornsby and lots of different places around Steuben Co., NY. I have traced my roots through my father Thomas, his father Frank, then Wallace, Jackson, George, William, and William. The last William (b. circa 1740 Antrim Co. Belfast Ireland) arrived in NYS in 1774 With his wife and three out of four children (Sarah, Janet, and John). William (2) wasn't born yet (I heard that he was born on the ship).
