And then I will look at that link. I hadn't seen that "Group 2" McCain website since Robert McCann's ancestor has been listed. My ancestor, James McCain of Clay Co. AL,, can be seen on this page of the site: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mccaingroup2/g2dna15263.htm Charles McCain is my cousin and we share the same ancestor. Unfortunately we don't know the parents of our James McCain. We've been frustrated for years trying to find out this information. A few years ago I'd thought maybe we could search via the McCann route, but that fizzled, in that the son James of the captioned Dr.James McCann didn't work out as being the same as our ancestor. Now our McCain group has lost its moderator and no one seems to be working the webpage, and it's like we've all given up. As I say, maybe I'll get back into it. If you run onto a link, let me know.
