Dorothy, Thanks for the other PA information. I have not found the time to follow my McCan/ns for almost a year. I still think my Daniel Duncan McCan born 1810 in Napier Twp, Bedford Co. PA is the son of Francis McCan as he has 1 child, a son 10 years old in 1820. The McCans seem to move in and out of Bedford Co. every few years. The first name changes, but there always seems to be at least one McCan there. Does anyone have a system or know of a good way to look for marriage records in PA. ? I understand they are not at the county, but are found in the church records. Is this correct?
