Hello all: It is so gratifying to see the McCann list coming to life again, and here is something that I thought interesting enough to share with you all. I found this John McCan Pvt. on a muster roll, showing he served in the Rev War, this card shows he was in the Company of Capt. William Potter. Naval Unit. Muster of the ship Bull Dog in March 1 to April 1 of 1777. Serving on the ship at age 32. (Records of the Comptroller General ) Does anyone have any info on "this" John McCan? Have noticed throughout my research that there were quite a few McCans that were sailors and served on ships. None have been traced that I know of. Regards to all Dorothy
