I am new to McCann research and am excited to find McCann relatives. Please share the names of the McCann's who went to Lamar County, Texas. I am a descendant of Martin, James C. and his daughter Mary Alice McCann Troutman Rushing. James C. and his family are listed on the 1880 Leake County, Mississippi census. Mary Alice went to Houston County, Texas in the late 1880's. I believe Mary Alice's brother Owen eventually settled in Gregg County, Texas. At this time I do not know where the rest of James C.'s children lived. Would you like the names of Mary Alice's children for your family file? ----- Original Message ----- From: Toni <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, August 03, 2002 9:54 AM Subject: RE: [McCANN] Re: McCanns in glasgow Scotland > I am also a desentant of MArtin McCann throught his son William - this > branch ended up in Lamar Co Tx.
