I have McCann ancestors but have only been able to track them back to around 1850 (Algerine McCann and wife Elizabeth Gertrude Leggett) in Early County, GA. His father (we believe) was Martin. If you have any more information you can supply it will really help us all and hopefully help you as well. If you have any names of the children (and their children, etc.), any idea where they went when they got to the States (even rumor) ..... any tiny, seemingly unimportant piece of information may trigger a researcher's memory of something they saw, read or heard.
