Catherine Ellis might have been the one b. 1837 near Cincinnati whose father was George Brown McCann b. 1799 in PA and buried somewhere near Cincinnati.. The second Geo. died in Springfield, OH but I don't know when yet. This is information which my brother, David McCann, has learned from a fellow Springfield, OH resident who is in his 80's and still carries the name, George McCann. Best regards, Jane
Hi Jane, It's kinda "iffy". Haven't see any Cincinnati or Springfield connections to date. They all seem to have sprouted in Madison County and stayed in Madison and Franklin Counties (Columbus, OH area). Had to come from somewhere, tho. If he was born in 1837 and married in 1850 . . . he married a widow when he was 13. Will keep the info close at hand tho...ya never know. Been trying to connect to either PA or VA which are the most likely origins.....in which case the wall would crumble pretty quick. Thanks for the possibility.
