Hi Don: I'm happy that one McCann is still out there, What ever happened to all of our McCanns? They have just disappeared- I do know that a couple died in Wisconsin, Haven't been able to discover where they are buried as yet, On the McCann web-site, they have either quit looking, or have found who they are looking for, We'll just hang in there, and maybe one of these days we will be able to find out something, Thanks for the reply Have a Restful Evening, Ann---- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, May 31, 2002 7:30 PM Subject: Re: [McCANN] MCCANN FAMILIES > I'm still out here Ann. > I will be reviewing some film next week on my McCann's that went to Guelph. Dear Henry: Our McCanns are all over the United States by now. Where did your Ancestors start out living in the United States? When did they come over here. Until just a year and a half ago the only thing I knew was that my Grandfather was born in Wisconsin, I have come a long way, Have met some second cousins on line and one in person. So there is still hope, but when you are checking a couple hundred years ago, it's difficult. Have written 4 letters to Ireland to no avail, Will try one more, I have had help on this McCann site, Hope more McCanns will continue to use our own site. Jane has done a wonderful job , but she can only put the info in that We provide. Let's keep our Web-Site more Active, Ann T. Ann, I have only been able to go back as far as my ggrandfather, and I found him in Eagle Pass, TX. According to in info on my grandfathers death cert. he was born in Ireland and that is all I have been able to find on him. My grandfather was born in Eagle Pass and sometime later in life he moved to San Antonio, met Emma Wulff and got married, then from this marriage came my father, ggrandfather was (Henry McCann), grandfather was John James McCann and my father was Henry Charles McCann and that is it, I have had this information going on for a number of years now, have not been able to come up with connections so far. So here I sit, which way to go now? I guess all in due time it will come to be, who knows.
