Mary Kay, I have to go back through files, but I was told that we might connect. My grandfather was John Carl McCann born August 21, 1889. One of the few clues that I have so far is that his mother's maiden name was Hayes. I am not sure if he was born in TN or IL. He married Audestia Emma Boatman in Hannibal, MO. Some of their sixteen children were born in IL. I know that they had relatives in the Grainger County, TN area. They moved to Corpus Christi, TX where they lived until his death in 1871. Tracy, I'm not sure if we have a connection or not. I don't have any Hayes in my McCann line that I know of. My grandmother was Catherine McCann born in 1879 in Joliet, IL. Her parents were Edward and Nellie McCann. I don't know Nellie's maiden name, or if Nellie is her real first name. I only know that Catherine had one brother, Pat or Patrick for sure.
