Still searching for James McCann who purchased the McCann farm in Adams County, from Stephen McCann who then lived in the Town of Gordon, State of Kansas, Stephen was the orginal owner of this property buying it from the Government. James McCann, at the time of the land transaction, lived in Wisconsin. When the land was sold to Peter McCann in 1864, James McCann lived in New Lisbon, Wisconsin.
