My ancestry comes from his sister. They had another sister and brother (James) that are documented in a letter from a Liverpool letter (from James) of 1885. This John would have been born about 1816 in Ireland (I am still chasing where, but I believe it was in the Armagh area). Anyway, you can read the letter in the source notes on my website in reference to the MACAN/McCANN surname.
