I also have found this same family in Wilton Center census, it is south of Joliet . Here goes, I feel that there might be a connection to my Margaret McCann who's daughter Catherine McNamee was said to have been born in Wilton Center. Patrick Rodgers McCann b. Ireland, Married Bridget Daugherty in Ireland. son: James F. McCann b. 1842 Ireland married Mary Ann Hays in Chicago, Illinois. she was b.1845 in Peotone, Ill which is close to Wilton Center. Their Son: William Henry McCann b.1/9/1879 d.11/7/1959 Baptism: name was Timothy Peotone, Ill Port Huron, Mi He Married: Christine Caroline and also Fredreike Grasse Son: Robert William McCann b. 4/30/1913 d. 10/19/1996 Married Clara Soderholm had daughter name Kay. Sorry this is coming in so many e-mails , but I did find some other information. I found in my notes, Edward McCann in the Joliet City directory from 1884: lived on Chase Ave worked at steele mill 1881-1892: lived in Joliet and worked at steele mill 1892: lived on Meeker Ave in Joliet Any of your McCanns live in this area? My McCanns have been a bit of a dead end because my grandmother died before I was born and had lived in Iowa the last 35 years or so of her life. I'm slowly finding more information on her though!!!
