To those interested in James McCann The Farm in Juneau County between Elroy and Mauston in Plymouth ,Wisconsin was first bought by Stephen McCAnn from the Government, The next deed I find is between Stephen, Town of Gordon, State of Kansas to James McCann of Wisconsin. This could not be the same James that came over on the Garrick in 1853, These might be brothers of my Great Grand Father Peter McCann. This farm went between the family of McCanns until it was finally sold, Peter McCann came over to the USA as an indentured Alien to earn enough money to send for his family,Most likely in 1850. So I hope all the McCanns, that are looking for James don't give up. If the James McCann that came over on the Garrick is the correct age, we lost him before the 1870 census. Really don't know exactly where he came from in Ireland, Just that he married a lady named Mary, who is listed on one of the final records of the farm Ann T. Meyer (Nee Ann McCann)
