They came from Armagh Ireland, At least my Great Grandmother did, So figure he did also. He came over in 1850 and worked as an indentured Alien. She came over with 5 children, in 1853 Don't know for sure if these were hers or not, Could be siblings . Her name was Margaret, They first went to Massachuetts where at least two more Children were born. One was Margaret Ann, I did find that. There was a Stephen McCann that first bought the farm where they settled, He bought it from the Government They was also a James McCann and a Thomas that finally had this farm. It was in Adams County ,Wisconsin, which later became Juneau County. The town was Mauston, but the township was Plymouth, Near Elroy, Wisconsin. Bernie: At this point, I don't think we know exactly where they came from. We do know that our Great Grand Mother came from Armagh as reported on a short Obit in the Mauston paper. After 1870, We just know what happened except to three for sure, They did live in Minneapolis, Wisconsin, , St. Cloud and Hastings. Altho my Dad told me they did not relate to Peter living there. After alll these years it's hard to find all the info. Some in our family did say that Peter came from County Cork The boys born in Ireland were Patrick, Michael, and Thomas, We think. We also have a James, he could also have been born in Ireland.
