S. Battle Fleet sent by President Teddy Roosevelt that sailed around the world beginning in Hampton Roads, Virginia on December 16, 1907 and ending February 22, 1909. The fleet consisted of sixteen new battleships painted white, with gilded scrollwork on their bows, six destroyers, and several auxiliary ships.
