    3. Ann, I have only been able to go back as far as my ggrandfather, and I found him in Eagle Pass, TX. According to in info on my grandfathers death cert. he was born in Ireland and that is all I have been able to find on him. My grandfather was born in Eagle Pass and sometime later in life he moved to San Antonio, met Emma Wulff and got married, then from this marriage came my father, ggrandfather was (Henry McCann), grandfather was John James McCann and my father was Henry Charles McCann and that is it, I have had this information going on for a number of years now, have not been able to come up with connections so far. So here I sit, which way to go now? I guess all in due time it will come to be, who knows. 3. Hi: Haven't heard much from this web-site lately, Did everyone give up on their McCann Ancestors? I have found information on many Wisconsin Families, but so far I don't relate, My McCann Family orginate from Armagh, Ireland, Londonderry, They traveled to the U.S, and lived for some time in Mass, Then to Wisconsin, Plymouth, Juneau County, Peter McCann was School Clerk, so was an educated man, Was also a farmer. Married to Maggie McCann, This could have been his second marriage, We know for sure that the following children were theirs. Margaret Ann, Born in Mass in 1853 or 1855,Peter Jr, John Charles, and Mary Margaret John Charles McCann Married Bridget Heaney in 1888, They lived in Minneapolis and he worked for the railroad all his life. Mary Margaret, Married John Wallace Moore, and at the time of her death she lived in St, Cloud Minnesota, Stearns County, John Charles also died in st, Cloud , Minnesota, The Moores had ten children, Does anyone relate to this McCann family? Ann T. Meyer (Nee Ann McCann)

I received a failure to send error. Apologies for not getting back earlier. I have done a bit of research on the McCann families.I know the Nestor and McDonagh families who also lived in the townland of Derryronane. As you stated the Nestor family are still involved in the Hairdressing business in Swinford. The McDonagh side of the family moved from Derryronane in 1954 to Bellew, Rathfeigh, Tara, Co. Meath. The only surviving member of the McDonagh family still lives there. Her married name is Catherine(Ciss) Gallagher. She is in her 80's and in quite good health. She has 2 sons, Patrick and James Gallagher. Both live quite close to their home. Also, I have received the following from Bernard Salmon: Looking at church records we have john mccann (brother of william) mar honora mcmanus 1848 they had micheal 1859 mar mary salmon (dau of john salmon bro of mary wife of william dau of owen salmon and anne mcmanus). john born1858 mar anne cassidy their dau bridget mar mcpadden. so as you see we are connected thru mccanns and the mcmanus tribes both from the north. If I can help further or can put you in touch with Bernard Salmon, please do not hesitate to reply. Regards, Donal McCann
