Hailey SHERIFFS Deed; The State of Texas] County of Van Zandt] Know all men by these presents, that whereas by virtue of a certain execution issued out of the District court of the County of Kaufman, in favor of Elizabeth McBee vs. John G McBee on a certain Judgment rendered on the 24th day of May 1860, and directed and delivered to C. B. Graham as Sheriff of the county of Van Zandt commanding said Sheriff that of the goods and chattels, lands and tenants of the said John G McBee to make certain moneys in said writ specified C.B.Graham Sheriff as afore said did, on the 11th day of July 1860 levy on and seize all the Estate right, title and interest which the said defendant on the 11th day of July AD 1860, so had of in and to the premises hereinafter described and on the 1st Tuesday of October AD 1860 within the hours prescribed by law I sold said premises at public venue in the County of Van Zandt at the door of the court House thereof having first given public Notice of the time and place of such sale by causing an advertisement thereof ! to be posted up at three public places one of which was the court house of said County for twenty days previous to said sale and whereas at said sale, the said premises was struck off to W.H.Hailey for the sum of Sixty Dollars and ninety cents, he being the Highest bidder therefor and that being the highest secure bid for the same. Now therefor in consideration of the premises aforesaid and of the payment of the said sum of Sixty Dollars and Ninety Cents the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged I Robert Doyal Sheriff as aforsaid have sold and by these presents do grant, and convey unto the said W. H. Hailey all the estate Right, title and interest which the said John G McBee had on the 11th day of July 1860 as at any time afterwards of in and to the following described premises, towit: Known as the East half of a Four Hundred and Sixty acre tract of land as set aside to the said John G McBee by the Probate Court of Van Zandt County from Survey No.106 granted to W. H. McBee. To have and to hold the above described premises unto the said W. H. Hailey his heirs and assigns forever as fully and absolutely as I as Sheriff as aforsaid can convey by virtue of said writ of Execution In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand this the 2nd day of October AD 1860.
