Hi Valorie, and McBee Listers, Yes, He is listed in Kaufman Co., TX 1850 Census with his first wife Elizabeth O. and daughter Narcissa J. then he leaves for CA in March 1851 (according to the Divorce Petition). I must assume the lure of the Gold Rush was too much for him. :) I have posted queries to Amador and Calaveras CA, Counties pages. There are many sets of twins in JG's Descendant Line also.
