Jeri Helms Fultz and Edward Gerdes have some amazing information on the Arkansas troops of the Confederacy at http://www.insolwwb.net/~egerdes/ My ancestor, Jessee McBee/MagBee was in Johnson Co in 1860 and his new son-in-law, Alex McCanlis, enlisted in the 16th AR Inf. but I know very little about the rest of the family's service in the war. If anyone has any other McBee/MagBee in Arkansas in the Civil War, I'd like to know.
