He spent his young life as a cowboy in Texas before moving to Indian Territory in about 1898. He lived in Marlow and Cromwell before moving to Healdton in 1930. His wife, Ada preceded him in death in 1967, in Bakersfield, California. He is survived by 2 sons, George, Bakersfield, Calif and John , Callum Bay, Wash; 3 daughters, Elma Allen, Bakersfield, Calif., Jean Ramsey, Grant’s Pass, Ore., and Alta Winter, Stockton, Calif. Brothers, Rollie (Raleigh), Ozark, Ark; and Jack in Fowler, Calif., 16 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Services were under the direction of Reser Funeral Home.
