Many families went back and forth from Hagerstown/Antietam/Sharpsburg areas to Harpers Ferry, WV which was just across the Potomac. I found my ancestors in Harpers Ferry. I purchased the Jefferson County Explorer CD from the Historical Society in WV. I looked up Mackabee but did not find anything.
