On the CSA Pension record he states he had lived in McLennan Co., TX from 1887 until his application in 1904. CSA Record show he Volunteered 8 August 1862, in Elm Springs, Newton Co., MO for Co. E, 7th Missouri Inf, was captured at the Battle of Helena in Arkansas , went to prison in Alton, IL on 9 July 1863, transferred to Fort Delaware 29 February 1864; No record of parole or release. Death Certificate state; his Father’s name was Wesley McBee, b. in TN, Mother’s name and place of birth Unknown, information provided by his daughter Miss Ellen McBee; her address was 1525 Connor St. Waco, TX. He was buried in the Oakwood, signed by Undertaker, F.M. Compton.
