McBee Newspaper not named. Zettie McAlvie McElroy-McBee b. 15 March 1897; Van Zandt Co., TX d. 30 December 1980; Ozark, Franklin Co., AR Mrs. R. D. McBee Zettie M. McBee 83, of Ozark died Dec. 30 at Turner hospital after an extended illness. A native of Van Zandt County, Texas, she was the daughter of late Mr. and Mrs. William McElroy. Mrs. McBee was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband R.D. McBee; six daughters, Oleta Furr of Mulberry, Bessie Wisniewski of Ozark, Effie D. Culbertson of Ada, Okla., Opal Springer of Ozark, Asalea V Wright of Cortez, Colo., and Ludy E. Mueller of San Jose Calif. Three sons, Charlie W McBee, of Manteca, Calif., Cleveland R. McBee of Columbia, SC, Alfred O. McBee of Levelland, Texas. Two sisters, Josie Parrish of Cleburne, Texas, and Louella Newcomer of Big Springs, Texas; a halfsister Vergie Rackley of San Antonio; a brother, Simp McElroy of Big Springs, Texas; and a half-brother, Henry McElroy of Austin, Texas: 28 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Ozark Free Will Baptist church, with Rev. Jack Gilbert officiating. Burial was in Highland Cemetery under direction of Shaffer Funeral Home. Pall bearers were Archie Davis, Paul James, Gerald White, Kenneth Easom, Jimmy Thomas and Charley Brown. Honorary pallbearers were James Kelly, Doug Thomas and the Deacons of the Free Will Baptist Church.
