Well, live and learn. I had Texana Ennis as the wife of William's brother, John R. because of a blurb in the "Out of the Wilderness" obituary of John R. McBee who died at the Confederate Home at Higginsville, Lafayette Co., MO. The book stated that Louisa Texana Ennis on 15 December 1866. However, I posted queries to several MO counties last evening and now this morning I find this. This has been a second tier research project so I was not as concerned with my own files as I am about my main lines of research. Now however, I find that I am one of the folks contributing to the mass of errors caused by the Internet and some folks that believe everything they see online has to be a fact. Well, this goes to prove that the Internet, books and other researchers are NOT PRIME SOURCES. I will try to correct my files and put answers to my own queries out there as soon as possible after I confirm the truth from a county marriage book that I will go and see with my own dang eyeballs! They did not get married in Frio County that I can see though. Below the 1880 Census I have the marriages from the Frio Co records but I have to see those books for myself.
