Rex; My ggggrandfather was the son of Lemuel McBee from Grainger Co.TN. Is this your line too? Are Lemuel and Samuel brothers? Have you ever read the book "Hitch Hiking Along The Holston River. A History of Strawberry Plains, Jefferson County, Tennessee 1792-1962" by Mayme Parrott Wood? There is mention of McBees which are my line. Just courious and not wanting to leave any roots buried.
