MCBEE HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. - Thelma Elizabeth McBee, 86, of Hedgesville, died on Wednesday, April 9, 1997, in Berkeley Springs. Born August 13, 1910, in Cherry Run, she was the daughter of the late Harry E. and Molly G. (McCullough) Householder. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Renzie Dowl McBee, on August 13, 1983; two sisters, V. Rosalie Clingerman and F. Lorraine Butts; three brothers, Daniel R. Householder, Samuel M. Householder and Paul W. Householder. She was a member of Snyder's Bible Chapel, Hedgesville. She attended the Chestnut Grove School, Cherry Run. She was a homemaker and lifelong resident of Morgan County. Surviving are three daughters, Joan E. Potter, Berkeley Springs, Patricia A. Fox, Berkeley Springs, L. Kay Gassert, Lebanon, Pa.; two sons, Jackie L. McBee, Berkeley Springs, and Douglas M. "Mac" McBee, Hedgesville; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, 306 Union St., Berkeley Springs, on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral home will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday for the convenience of friends. Funeral services will be held at Snyder's Bible Chapel, Route 9, Hedgesville, on Sunday, April 13, 1997, at 2 p.m. with Pastor Joseph L. Mercer officiating. Interment will be in Spohrs Crossroads Cemetery, Berkeley Springs. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Panhandle, 2015 Boyd Orchard Court, Martinsburg, WV 25401.
