Hi Val, I got a different list from Ancestry Index than you did, I ask for "McBee" soundex spelling for TN, and here is what I got?? Me Thinks there is something "FISHY" going on here! I have the Hardeman SK Publication- 1830-40 and know that our William H. OK, what I did was ask for both Soundex Mc BEE and non-Soundex Mc BEE, and combine the lists. For some reason, you *must* leave a space between the "mc" and the "bee" or you get no hits at all, on either one of them. Valorie PS: Good for you, for posting this will. Oh, I forgot to say, before: on those soundex matches, I also didn't put in the ones like "Mosby" that I figured were NOT our people. I got the same soundex matchup as you did. Odd that NONE of the McBEEs were in it, though, isn't it?
