Dodson providing the land for $62.50 for an acre. The school was named for these people. It was located on the south side of Highway 40 on a little rise of ground that did not flood when the Missouri River flooded the whole neighborhood. The school closed in 1938 and the pupils were transported to New Franklin. The district became a part of New Franklin when reorganization took place. The building is no longer standing. . .
