In the 1850 census of Paulding Co GA, there was a woman we believe to be the wife of Wm. McBee who died in Jackson Co AL in 1839. In 1851, the western half of Paulding Co became Polk Co GA. One of our fellow researchers was kind enough to send me a scan of that 1850 page but it doesn't show me what I want to know. I want to find out WHERE in Paulding Co they were so that I can determine if they were in the part of Paulding Co that became Polk Co in 1851, less than a year after that census was taken. I've found another line of kin that were right on the border of Cherokee AL in Polk Co. shortly after that census so it might be that this is where Dicie, Rebecca's Grand daughter met her future husband, Alex McCandless. Can anyone tell me about the location of the Mcbees in Paulding Co? Ron McCandless
