However, you list some as starting out in Tennessee, then being in Michigan. Could you have meant Mississipppi? This is a mistake frequently made; we just have too many "M" states. I often get the "A" states mixed up, too. My Montgomerys came into the colonies in 1765 in South Carolina, then moved to Tennessee, then Mississippi. The earliest of my Montgomerys that I have a record of , Robert, was born in 1765 and was the youngest of nine brothers. I don't know the names of his parents or any of his brothers. These that you mention could easily be mine, if you really meant Mississippi rather than Michigan.
