Greetings from Tulsa, OK I am Mark Bardsley, a gggs of John mcBee, born in Tenn about 1817. My daughter, Cindy Kuerston, of Tulsa have been working on McBee problems (Namely John and family) for some time) I offer you first of all the following letter sent by another McBee decendent in 1995. We have lost contact with him as he has moved from Mineral Wells. ( we do have other data we can send but I think this will be of interest to Ron McCandless. ) Here is the letter: 3302 Apache Drive Mineral Wells, Texas 76067 June 19, 1995 Ms. Cindy Kuerston 4610 So. Urbana Ave. Tulsa, OK 74135 Concerning the F. M. McBee you are inquiring about at the end of your booklet, I think that I at least know who he is. On the 1860 Census of Denton County, Texas there appears a William McBee, 26 yoa from Tennessee with his wife Louisa, also 26 yoa, and 10 year old son Francis M. McBee. I don’t think this is our William McBee because 10 years older and our William appears with the family in Marion County, Tenn for that year. The William McBee from Denton County, Texas moved to Atascosa County where he appears on the 1870 Census. They are living in dwelling #156 while son F.M. is living with his wife and daughter in dwelling #155. It is interesting to note that Rebecca (McBee) and John McKeller are living in dwelling # 117 of the same County. On the same census there appears a Jessee McBee, age 52, in dwelling #124 and a W. (A. of G.) McBee, 18 yoa in dwelling # 125. I suspect that the Jessee McBee is a brother of our John McBee and that William is John’s son. On the 1880 Census of Frio County this William names his youngest son Marcis. Maybe a coincidence or not. Sincerely Yours, James E.
