Magby was the name of the one in Halifax County from whom we all appear to be descended. It was spelled that way in the will. My grandmother, Linnie McGuire McBee pronounced it MAGbee, with emphasis on Mac. I was always called Rainy Bee, that sure simplified things. The fellows were always nicknamed Mac. If you think about it, and try it both ways, MAGbee is a whole lot easier especially if you needed to rhyme it with your first name. Who cares, we are who we are. Nuff said. Lorraine
