    1. Re: [McBEE] Re: Pronouncing and spelling the dang NAME
    2. Hey you left out a few. Spelled McEbee in the 1810 S. C. Census. Samuel Magby is listed in Waccamaw and Horry County, S. C. in the 1790, 1800, 1810, 1820 Census. He was a brother to Vardry McBee Sr. My brother Bobby always told me there wasn't any Muck in our name McBee. lol. There aren't any Mick in our McBee name either. My dad ALWAYS put the little lines under our c in our McBee name and he raised the c up. He said this represented a missing a in our name which would have given it the sound of MacBee or Mackbee. I put the emphasis on the Mack most of the time. My wife says she has no idea how to pronounce our name as all of us ten kids pronounce it differently. There are other variations on the spelling but I am on my way to work and will send them later. All I know is I am PROUD to be one ot the McBees. Love all up McBees. Danny Albert McBee.
