Luke Points came to Kentucky with his father from Virginia at an early date. He was a farmer, as also was his father, one of the first settlers of Kentucky. Mrs. Mary Points was a native of Maryland. William Points was educated at the common schools, and has always been a farmer, at one time owning over 2,000 acres of land, but divided it among his children, and now has 480 acres. He has represented Grant County two terms in the Legislature, in 1879-82, and has been squire in the county for many years. In 1837 he married Margaret Franks, of Grant County, a daughter of William and Nancy (Webster) Franks. Nine children have been born to them, viz: J.
