LOL. I think it's just accents. MAHG be = Magby or Magbee muck BEE = McBee mack bee = Mackbee MAG uh bee = Magabee MOC ah bee = Moccabee My family pronounced it muck BEE, spelled it McBee, and wrote the c up high, with a line and two dots under it. On the other hand, my McBees seem to have come from space ships..... One family source says it used to be Magby, but I've looked and looked, and so far -- haven't found 'em. Valorie

    3. Hi All, I just have to add my 2 cents on the spelling and pronouncement of the name, my Grandfather also spelled it with the (raised c/.. under it), but he pronounced it Mackbee, later he just put the (c no line or dots). (Could that have been age??) The first time I ever wrote it, I wrote Mackbee and my Mother was adamant about how to write it. *~* I also think the way individuals pronounced it, family differences and theirs or other's illiteracy. Now I just write it McBee and pronounce it Mackbee.
