This appears to be from last year MCBEE/MAGBY--We are searching for an obituary or news article on Captain Vardry MCBEE/ MAGBY alleged to have passed away in Pontotoc, MS about 1840 at age 106. On June 1st 1840 he was living with Robert MAGBY in Walker County, Alabama according to the pensioners census. It is believed that he may have lived in St Clair County, Alabama also earlier. Captain MCBEE/MAGBY was a Revolutionary War Soldier who fought with the South Carolina Militia. The eldest son of Captain Vardry MCBEE/ MAGBY was Silas MCBEE/MAGBY, who lived in Columbus, MS & later in Pontotoc, MS.
