So of course I plugged in "mcbee", since the family story is that we are Scotch-Irish. I never find any McBees in any Irish databases, however! This is in County Donegal, which while part of the historical Ulster, and in northern Ireland, is not part of the British colony Northern Ireland, but instead, part of the independent nation of Eire (Republic of Ireland).
