This is the only information I have. "In Lincolnton, on the 14th ult. after a short illness, Mr. Silas L. McBee, in the 18th year of his age. This promising young man had been for some time a student of Transylvania University, Ky. and during the recess of that institution had returned to Lincolnton to meet the smiles and receive the benedictions of his affectionate parents. But alas ! he only came to bid a final adieu to his earthly home, and was the ushered into that one 'which is not made with hands, eternal in the Heavens.'"
