Butch; My name is Jackie Lindsey. I am researching my McBee side of the family also. Noticed that your William Pryor McBee was from Grainger Co. My GGG grandfather was William C. McBee, b.March 16,1808 in Grainger Co, TN. He married a Susan Hawkins, they had 6 children and he died Nov. 21,1874 in Collin Co, TX. I have not been able to connect him to any McBees. Rebecca may have been named in 1854 Will of her Brother William Newton McBee; in Kaufman Co., TX, which is listed in the index of Kaufman Co., TX but Will cannot be found. Where were Peter & Rebecca buried, is there a record, did either of them have a Will?
