    2. Dear Friends, Do any of you have Irish relatives who immigrated to Hartlepool, County Durham, England after the Famine late 1840's/1850 , later immigrating to Scranton, PA or other U.S. cities? They might've been from County Mayo. In particular, I am looking for friends or relatives of Dominick GILMARTIN/KILMARTIN & wife Ann JUDGE GILMARTIN/KILMARTIN who might've had the same experience. Dominick worked as an Iron Puddler in Hartlepool. Dominick and Ann were married in St. Mary's R. C. Church in Hartlepool, in 1853, had 6 children born and baptized at the church, 4 died and are buried at Hartlepool Cemetery. Surnames of friends who were wedding witnesses or godparents to their children were: MARTIN, SHEVELIN/SHOVELIN, BAGLEY, KELLY, GORMAN, GILGALLON, KILCANNON, and GEGIN (and various spellings of that name). Dominick & Ann JUDGE GILMARTIN immigrated to Scranton, PA, USA, in 1863. I am trying to learn where they were born in Ireland and think knowing who else might've settled in Hartlepool for work could help me determine where my family was from. English records do not state exact birthplace. Besides my surnames, I'm interested in anyone else who immigrated from Ireland to England and has connections to Hartlepool, County Durham, England. 1850's - 1860's. Thank you. Mary L. Casey
