It's been awhile since I've posted the families I'm trying to trace: Michael Hastings/Hestin/Heston married Bridget Stewart/Stuart, I believe Sept 8, 1826, Westport RC, County Mayo (Daniel Hestin and Anne Lydon were the witnesses) I say "believe" in that it is a marriage that has been identified that seems to fit. No records exist on any of the children's baptisms to help any further. The family left right about the time of the famine and show up in Liverpool for one daughter's birth. The family was in the U.S. by 1855, the women arriving in New Orleans, with the family reuniting in Lafayette County, Missouri by 1860. Also, just recently I noticed a list of people that the authorities were going to "deal with". One name that caught my eye was Thomas Hastings who was suspected of being a Fenian in Westport. So maybe some of the Hastings stayed around the area and might tie back into mine at some point. Would appreciate hearing from anyone with similar researches.
