I am looking for info on the Kneafsey family. What I know is that Catherine Kneafsey was born around 1852 (died in 1941) supposedly in Barnaguerroy (spelling) and she married Peter Lyons who was born in 1843 (died in 1890). They married in the USA. I can trace their defendants to the present. Does anyone have background information or suggestions on where to look? I know this is a stab in the dark, but I understand Kneafsey and Tarpey families are related due to a marriage in Ireland in the mid 19th century. I would love to take my 90 year Mother back to Ireland and have her see her heritage. Thanking you in advance for your help.
