Thanks for your response - Actually we only have conflicting info re his birth date and up until now I've been looking in Co Kerry and Limerick Only recently since I've been on the Mayo site I've learned that there are Kearney's in Mayo and did have an active connection with someone who answered thru the parish - but he/she/it never followed thru so I am reluctant to go back. They did not go far to Ballina and Crossmolina. The Family History library has the microfilm Parish registers of Crossmolina Parish, Mayo County, baptisms, 1768- 1817, marriages, 1768-1815, burials, 1768-1821 Church of Ireland and Catholic Parish Church of Crossmolina Parochial registers of Kilfian, 1826-1844. Parish of Kilfian (Mayo) There are 1901 and 1911 Census of Ireland microfilm available also.
