I am not sure why with all the money I paid the Mayo Heritage Centre on several occasions they did not do this for me! What I found early on in their start at researching is they were not properly trained and not inquisitive enough to look beyond their noses, as my mother would say .. It was "just" a job and you know how that can go .. ...An example: My mother was born on 11/27/1898 and baptized the next day in the Keelogues parish, however not registered till the following March 27th .. They looked for a civil registration in November but never thought to look ahead - someone should have instructed them on how people did not always register the wee ones right away and advise them to look forward too .. After I gave them her baptism date they then found her ... Thought by now they would have advanced further in their research techniques ..
