Ian: Griffiths Valuations has a Hugh McIntyre in Kilcommon Parish (Barony of Erris), townland of Doona - somewhere on the mainland opposite the Mullet peninsula presumably - which you might locate on the 1838 Ordnance Survey by going to Mayo Maps Online, a Mayo Library site which has the whole of the county maps on-line, go to parishes list which then lists townlands.
